Two new specialised German courses and two psychological support programmes are at the heart of the Safavi Impact Institute’s autumn semester.

The Institute will continue its existing professional German courses, including Business German, Business Communication, German for Office Management, Professional German with a Focus on Grammar and German for Medical Professionals. Two new courses tailored to specific professional fields will be added this semester.

New Courses for Tax Consultancy and Medical Assistance

German for Tax Consultancy Offices is designed for participants interested in administrative and office roles in tax consultancy firms. The course covers communication with clients, phone calls and emails, appointment and deadline management, documentation, and essential vocabulary for everyday work in a tax consultancy office.

With German for Medical Assistants, the Institute is expanding its language programme for healthcare professionals. The course focuses on communication in medical practices, including reception duties, phone calls, appointment scheduling, communication with patients, medical history taking and documentation. It also covers the language needed for hygiene, data protection and administrative procedures. The existing German for Medical Professionals course continues to support physicians in meeting the language requirements of the Austrian healthcare system. German for Office Management focuses on communication and organisation in the workplace. Business Communication covers meetings, presentations, phone calls and written communication. Professional German with a Focus on Grammar strengthens grammatical accuracy in a professional context.

Two Psychological Support Programmes

Alongside the language courses, two group programmes providing psychological support will begin this autumn. One programme is designed for Ukrainian women and addresses the psychological challenges of migration and adaptation. It focuses on coping with stress, strengthening personal resources and navigating a changed life situation. The “Empowering Parents” programme supports parents in helping their children navigate migration and settle into life in Austria. It addresses the emotional, educational and social challenges faced by children and adolescents, while also helping parents strengthen their own resources and resilience.

The autumn semester begins in September. Information on dates, participation requirements and registration is available in the individual course descriptions.n den jeweiligen Kursbeschreibungen verfügbar.
