LinkedIn as a Key to a Fresh Career Start in Austria

How can LinkedIn be used to bring the next job within reach?

This question was at the heart of the workshop organized by the Safavi Impact Institute on October 22, designed for Ukrainian women who are actively seeking new professional opportunities in Austria.

The training was led by Davorin Barudzija, LinkedIn strategist, digital recruiting expert, and Recruitment Manager at Teach For Austria. He gave clear, practical guidance on how to create a convincing profile that highlights one’s expertise, how to attract attention through targeted posts and comments, and how to present oneself on LinkedIn both authentically and professionally.

Participants worked directly on their own profiles, revising texts, headlines, and descriptions — and received valuable personalized feedback from the trainer. Step by step, it became clear how LinkedIn can serve as a real tool for restarting one’s career in Austria.

The atmosphere was open and motivating. Many participants realized the opportunities this network offers. “I finally understood how to use LinkedIn strategically – not just to find jobs, but to make my expertise visible,” said one participant.

The workshop was part of the Safavi Impact Institute’s ongoing initiative to support Ukrainian women in their professional integration in Austria – through knowledge, exchange, and mutual encouragement.
