On December 12, 2024, the Safavi Impact Institute hosted its annual Christmas gathering—an evening dedicated to language learning, personal strength, and a sense of community. Ukrainian women came together to share experiences, support one another, and grow, both individually and as a group.

The first part of the evening focused on the German language. Language trainers Sabrina Ploch, Zsuzsanna Szalai, and Andriiana Raikova shared their tips and methods for making learning German easier and even enjoyable. Under the motto “Language with Ease”, they emphasized the importance of the right mindset and approach to make real progress and feel more confident using the language.

Next, psychologist Natalia Khalimovska addressed the challenges that come with migration—and how they can be turned into opportunities. Her talk was a true inspiration, highlighting the importance of self-care and building resilience in order to stay strong during difficult times.

The evening concluded with traditional Ukrainian food, Christmas songs, and warm, heartfelt conversations. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and energy. Events like this foster not only connection, but also a lasting sense of belonging and hope. They are more than gatherings, they are bridges. Bridges that connect women in a new country, offer them stability, and lay the foundation for a strong network of mutual support and growth.

This Christmas celebration was a powerful reminder of what women can achieve when they come together, support each other, and learn from one another, especially during a season that stands for hope, solidarity, and building new bridges.
