In the current semester, the Business German course at the Safavi Impact Institute has taken on a new substantive direction. This semester, the training is led by a new trainer Martin Höffinger who brings many years of experience in senior business roles and integrates this background directly into the course.
From the very first sessions, it became clear that the focus goes beyond linguistic accuracy. Participants work with real business scenarios, analyze decision-making processes and discuss concrete case studies drawn from practice. How do you argue your case in a budget discussion? How do you present an idea to decision-makers? How do you formulate a clear position in a demanding professional environment?
One early example of this hands-on approach is the planned joint visit to BeSt³ – Die Messe für Beruf, Studium und Weiterbildung. Participants prepare in advance with clearly defined tasks, gather targeted information about their intended professional fields at the fair and present their findings in the course afterwards. Real market insights thus become direct training material.
For employers and partners, this approach is particularly relevant. Language proficiency alone is not sufficient in professional settings. What is required is structured argumentation, an understanding of business contexts and the ability to take responsibility and communicate decisions clearly and convincingly.
With this development, Business German at the Safavi Impact Institute further strengthens its role as a bridge between language training and practical professional competence within the Austrian labor market.
