On July 30, 2025, a group of Ukrainian women visited the Austrian Parliament in Vienna as part of an educational program organized by the Safavi Impact Institute.

The guided tour allowed participants to explore the central halls of the Parliament – including the historic chamber, the Federal Council room, and the National Council chamber. They learned how laws are created in Austria, how parliamentary sessions are conducted, and what responsibilities elected representatives have. Particularly fascinating were the insights into the building’s history, from its construction during the monarchy to its recent renovation.

After the tour, the group took part in an open discussion where they shared their impressions and asked questions about public life in Austria. The conversation touched on topics such as participation, transparency, and ways to actively engage in society.

The event provided more than just a look behind the scenes – it deepened understanding of how Austrian society works and offered new perspectives on meaningful civic involvement in a new environment.
